GRA began operations in 2017 within a context of heightened socio-political crisis marked by high rates of school dropouts, falling academic standards and serious decelerating effect on research activities. Most engrossingly, there was a noticeable disconnect between research and community problems.
GRA started activities by rallying research candidates, university professors and research-minded groups to both reflect on ways of improving research activities and connecting the same with community problems.
Membership is composed of research students, academic and research fellows, early career researchers, university lecturers, professors and community think tanks and socio-cultural organizations willing to enroll their members in the process of seeking research-based solutions to community problems.
